Georgia Dealt College Football Recruiting News on Friday
The Georgia Bulldogs will be getting a visit from one of the top safeties in the 2026 recruiting class.
Four-star safety Simeon Caldwell told On3 on Friday that he will visit Athens, Ga., on March 11. He also has visits planned with the USC Trojans and Ohio State Buckeyes this spring.
All of those stops will be considered unofficial visits. Caldwell will take official visits to USC and Ohio State in June. The Miami Hurricanes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish are also set to host Caldwell for an official visit in the late spring.
“I am talking to other schools as well, so I don’t want to count them out completely, but right now these are the main ones,” Caldwell told On3.
Both On3 and 247Sports have Caldwell rated a top 115 prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. The On3 rankings also placed Caldwell eighth among safeties and 13th of all Florida recruits in the class.
Caldwell will play his senior season at the Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla.
Although the Bulldogs will have the first opportunity to impress Caldwell, Georgia appears to have work to do with the safety. USC and Ohio State are the two schools he is currently scheduled to visit twice.
Georgia has five verbal commitments for the 2026 recruiting class. The highest-rated player among the five is Florida safety Zech Fort.
