Dabo Swinney, Clemson football land elite WR Naeem Burroughs over Florida, Texas
Don’t let Dabo Swinney get hot. The Clemson football coach landed a four-star offensive lineman earlier in the week over Ohio State and Penn State, swiping him from the Buckeyes’ backyard, and on Saturday night, the Tigers landed another elite prospect.
The Tigers picked up a commitment from four-star wideout Naeem Burroughs over Texas, USC, and Florida on Saturday night, pushing the number of commits to eight for Clemson in 2026.
Burroughs is from Jacksonville, Fla., so Swinney dipped into another backyard and landed another top recruit. The four-star wideout was being pursued by the home-state Gators, but he opted to head to the ACC and play for one of the best coaches in the country over the uncertainty in Gainesville.
Wise choice.
Clemson now owns the No. 16 recruiting class in the country and Burroughs becomes the top-ranked commit in the Tigers’ class, edging out Adam Guthrie who just committed on Friday afternoon.
