Kim Mulkey calls out South Carolina reporter enjoying mozzarella stick during press conference

LSU head coach Kim Mulkey, known for being outspoken and unfiltered, said something very unexpected yesterday in her press conference following a six-point loss to Texas in the SEC Tournament semifinals.
As she began her presser, she noticed a group of reporters off to the side, which included South Carolina reporter, Lulu Kesin, for the Greenville News enjoying a mozzarella stick. Mulkey paused, stared, and said, “Are those media over there, or are they just eating?”

Kesin, who was seated quite a way away from the press conference, was minded her own business, uninterested in the press conference in the other room, snacking on her cheese sticks. Surprised at the interaction, Kesin took to social media, highlighting her distance from the head coach and clarifying that she was not directly participating in the press conference.
for context this is how far away I was, I was NOT sitting in the press conference eating pic.twitter.com/GOdQTyq7Fk

Although Mulkey’s comment was harmless, and who knows if she actually knew it was a South Carolina reporter that she was referring to, her postgame comments remain undefeated.
