Isabelle Kelly is in doubt to feature in the finals for the Roosters after suffering a suspected dislocated elbow which ended her match against the Eels.
Kelly was assisted by trainers from the field after her arm was caught between players in a tackle attempt.
The Roosters skipper was in visibly pain as she fell to the turf calling for medical assistance.
“You do not want to see that,” Ruan Sims said in commentary on Nine.
“She is their captain, she get’s in plenty of work, but that is not good signs. I hope that she is okay.”
“This is devastating for the Roosters and Issy,” Allana Ferguson added.
Kelly’s absence shapes a heavy hole for the Tricolours, having already lost Jessica Sergis to a knee injury and Tarryn Aiken to a shoulder injury.
Rima Butler also joins the list of concerns as she was ruled out of the side’s round nine match against the Cowboys due to a knee injury. She was named to return against the Eels but was omitted from the side an hour before kick off.

Nine’s Marlee Silva confirmed the extent of Kelly’s injury remains unknown.
“She came off clutching at that elbow but they won’t know much more about the injury until she goes for scans later in the week,” she said.
“The Roosters will certainly be hoping that it is nothing too bad because they would love to have their fearless leader out there come finals time.”
Parramatta’s 2024 season ended in a hard fought battle as they put the Roosters to the test ahead of their finals series.
The excellence of Sam Bremner, who returned from retirement just days out from the season’s commencement, saw the Roosters claim the first points of the match.
The fullback crossed within 60 seconds of the game’s kick off, before Mia Wood extended the Roosters lead to 12.
Mahalia Murphy attempted to break the Roosters power as she crossed the line in the 23rd minute.
But a powering Olivia Kernick masterclass saw the Roosters increase the numbers on the board.
A high-flying Zali Fay left the Roosters defence stunned as she planted the ball from the kick down in goal.
“Wow, didn’t she look good in the air,” Ferguson said.
“That was magnificent, absolutely magnificent. That is so well deserved,” Sims added.
Rosemarie Beckett powered over the line to push the Eels back into the contest, but three quick tries for the Tricolours sealed the scores at 32-18.
