An announcement has been made regarding Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr
The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking to figure out a way to come to an agreement with superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr on a contract extension.
The Blue Jays know exactly how much Guerrero wants in his contract extension but they have yet to raise their offer since making him one of $340 million a couple weeks ago.

Despite the Blue Jays knowing exactly how much Guerrero would sign for, they are still looking for a way to sign him for cheaper than his exact number as they seem to believe it is too high.
In the most recent report, the Blue Jays are apparently setting a meeting with Guerrero this week to see if they can come to an agreement before the start of Spring Training.

The Jays are meeting with Vlad Jr this week to see if an extension is possible- they have kept tabs on Alonso. Jays want to know if locking up Vlad is possible before ST. If not- things could happen quickly on their front.
Clearly this is another way for GM Ross Atkins to try and get a deal done with Guerrero for less than he is looking to sign for which is a risky move as it might just burn the bridge between the two even more.
Guerrero has made it clear that he is looking for a lot more than the $340 million offered so far and it seems like he is expecting to sign for around $500 million since he knows he can get that in free agency next season.
Hopefully Atkins uses this meeting for the right thing and gets a deal done as losing Guerrero to free agency next off-season will end up ruining the organization.
At this point it is all up to Atkins to make the right move.
