Via free agency, Patrik Allvin proved quite resourceful, especially after losing two big pieces of their team.
Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov packed their studies and joined the BBBs, but Allvin wasted no time replacing them. He went on to add Jake Debrusk, Danton Henein, Daniel Sprong, and Kiefer Sherwood, and we might even get to see Jonathan Lekkerimaki in action in the NHL.
Clearly holding a grudge against the Canucks and their fans, the insider Frank Servailli was on Oilers Now and decorated that there wasn’t even an argument that could be made. There’s no way in the Canucks are better now, then what they were during the playoffs last year:
Seravalli: There’s no argument to be made in my view that Canucks are anywhere near as good a team as they were in that 2nd round series based on some of the players they lost.
