Mohamed Salah is embarking on what might be his last season at Liverpool after eight incredible seasons with the Reds.
From winning the Premier League and UEFA Champions League to making history with the Merseyside giants as one of the club’s all-time leading goalscorers, Salah will go down as a Liverpool legend if the winger decides to depart Anfield next summer.
With Saudi Arabia still interested in Salah and the forward showing no sign of penning a new contract with Liverpool, there’s a real chance that this season will be the 32-year-old’s last in the Premier League at Anfield.
And Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund are seemingly set to make a huge move in their bid to bring Salah to the Middle East.
PIF preparing ‘astronomical’ three-year contract to sign Salah
According to CaughtOffside, PIF are set to formally present a three-year contract to land Salah on a pre-contract agreement with an ‘astronomical’ salary, one that could rival the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League.
Given how obvious it now looks like Salah will move to Saudi Arabia, it’s no surprise that a contract will soon be in the pipeline for the Liverpool winger, who is free to sign with anyone in January if a new deal isn’t reached with the Reds.
Indeed, Salah has been rumoured with a move to the Middle East for the best part of two years, with Saudi Arabian football organisers keen to bring in arguably the biggest and best Muslim player on the planet to the Saudi Pro League.
And with a contract offer set to be made, Saudi Arabia could finally get their wish in Salah making the move to the Middle Eastern state, with the attacker seemingly set to end his time with Liverpool at the end of this season.
Liverpool should try one final roll of the dice to keep Salah
Salah has been Liverpool’s best player since arriving from AS Roma in 2017, and even at 32-years-old, the winger remains one of the best attackers in world football and a superstar in the Premier League.
And for Liverpool, the Reds should make one final attempt to keep Salah at the club given how good the forward still is and how exciting the new project under Arne Slot already looks this season.
As a result, Liverpool stand to lose nothing if they were to make another contract offer to Salah, who could surprise everyone by remaining with the Reds and seeing out the best years of his career at Anfield.
