Vancouver Canucks Emerge as Top Contenders For Landing Buffalo Sabres Defenseman
With all the rumors surrounding Bowen Byram being traded this season, recent reports indicate that the Vancouver Canucks are emerging as a top landing spot to land him.
Over a month ago, the Buffalo Sabres and Vancouver Canucks were linked with one another in trade rumors, where Byram was the link brining them together.
TSN’s Darren Dreger revealed that he talked with the Buffalo Sabres, and confirmed that there were West Coast teams calling trying to land Byram, but at that time, the Sabres were not ready to shop him around.

Now, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has set the NHL on fire by suggesting that a trade between Vancouver and Buffalo could be a major benefit for both teams.
It was disclosed by Friedman that this was just speculation of his own doing, but NHL reporter David Pagnotta has confirmed that both sides have discussed a trade with one another, all focused around Byram.
After a slew of concussions and injuries, Byram has finally got a fresh start with the Buffalo Sabres this season, and has taken off with that opportunity. In 32 games this season, he has 4 goal and 14 assists, and the most impressive thing about his game is that his defensive play has improved greatly and if Patrik Allvin can get a deal done, Byram would be a great addition to the the Canucks blue line.
