Bronny James Is Trending For What He Did In Lakers-Wizards
Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James saw his first real NBA action since opening night, falling to Tyrese Maxey and the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers 118-104. And Bronny, in 15 minutes, did not perform well, at least according to coach JJ Redick.
“He didn’t play well, but he’s been playing great in the stay-ready games and in the (G League),” Redick said following Tuesday’s loss.
LeBron James, Bronny’s father, and the Lakers were back in action on Thursday night, battling the Washington Wizards, who hold the league’s worst record.
Even without Anthony Davis, Los Angeles was able to make light work of the Wizards with a 134-96 win.
With such a dominant lead, Bronny was able to play the entire fourth quarter, and he found himself a highlight.
With 2:50 remaining, Bronny drove past a Washington defender before meeting Tristan Vukcevic at the hoop. As the two met mid-air, the rookie got hit before making a tough layup: an And-1. The crowd gave him a huge applause for the play.
