It’s the time of the year that pundits are starting to make their Premier League predictions and Kevin Nolan has delivered a verdict on Nottingham Forest.
The Reds go into a third successive season in the Premier League with the added optimism that things can start to settle down a little bit.
Forest have narrowly avoided relegation in their two previous campaigns in the Premier League and now some stability would be welcomed.
The Reds have a relatively nice start to the top flight, with games against Bournemouth, Southampton and Wolves to kick things off.
Nolan will likely do some punditry work this season after leaving West Ham along with David Moyes at the end of last season.
It appears he’s still living in Nottingham, however, with his son currently playing for one of the academy teams at the City Ground.
He’s shared what he hopes can happen at Forest this season as another Premier League campaign beckons.

Kevin Nolan shares hopes for Nottingham Forest this season
It is a bit of a revelation that Nolan’s son is currently playing for Forest – although it’s not clear what age group he’s currently playing in.
This summer, Forest have also signed Tim Cahill’s son, Shea, who will join up with the under-18 outfit for the 2024/25 campaign.
Nolan has delivered a verdict on Forest and he’s anticipating that it might be tight at the bottom once again this season.
He told the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast: “I mean, living in Nottingham, I hope not (relegation), you know my boy is there and everything else but I just feel like the five clubs above the relegation zone last year could all chop and change again. I hope they don’t go down.
“I do think the three that came up will struggle but I think it could chop and change a lot.”
Nuno Espirito Santo under pressure for good Forest start
It’s imperative that Forest start well to the 2024/25 campaign – and it’s long overdue that the Reds fly out of the blocks.
Points on the board aren’t something that Forest have really got since they returned to the top-fight in 2022.
Last season the club did win two of their first four matches but then suffered a little blip that eventually led to Steve Cooper losing his job.
Now, Forest have had a proper pre-season campaign with a head coach who has been able to get his ideas across and crucially all of last season’s star players remain at the club.
Forest can therefore really kick on this season and hopefully, Nolan gets his wish and the team doesn’t become embroiled in a relegation battle.
