Sergio Aguero praise
Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has explained what has impressed him most about Liverpool this season.
The Reds have won their opening three fixtures of the season against Ipswich Town, Brentford and Manchester United. Aguero has been impressed by how Liverpool have adjusted to the departure of as manager, who was replaced by in the summer.
“Liverpool started really strong, especially considering the end of the Klopp era,” Aguero told Stake.com. “They’ve proved to still be one of the teams-to-beat to get the title, just like it has been over the past few seasons.
“But then again, it’s not about the start of the season, it’s about landing the finish. The Premier League is all about consistency, so that’s the element to make note of.”
Roy Keane makes Alexander-Arnold prediction
Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has predicted how Trent Alexander-Arnold could score a hat-trick for Liverpool this weekend.
Alexander-Arnold has returned to Merseyside after two Player of the Match performances for England on international duty. Keane was part of the Stick to Football podcast where he predicted that Liverpool would win 3-1 against Forest on Saturday, as well as how Alexander-Arnold could get the first hat-trick of his career.
“Trent, Trent. He could get a hat-trick if he’s higher up the pitch,” said Keane.
Dejan Lovren move
Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is reportedly set to join a new club.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Lovren is set to leave Lyon and join Greek club PAOK in a permanent deal. The report states that Lovren has already agreed to join PAOK with the move on the verge of being completed.
Lovren left Liverpool in 2020 to sign for Zenit St Petersburg, before returning to his former club Lyon in 2022. The former Reds centre-back will now be playing his football in the Greek top tier, with PAOK also set to feature in the Europa League this season.
