Sources: Rich Rodriguez, West Virginia adding SEC coach to offensive staff
West Virginia is nearly a month into its spring camp with new-old coach Rich Rodriguez, and the Mountaineers are making a strong addition to their offensive staff, FootballScoop has learned.
Rodriguez is hiring Logan Bradley away from Auburn to become the Mountaineers inside wide receivers coach, sources tell FootballScoop.
Bradley has been serving as an offensive analyst working with the tight ends group for Hugh Freeze’s Auburn program.
A Cedar Hill, Texas, native, Bradley is heading to the West Virginia program after serving on the staffs at both Liberty and Auburn in recent years.
After playing for now-Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire in the Texas high school ranks, Bradley’s coaching journey includes starting as a student-assistant at Ole Miss and with the subsequent stops at Liberty and Auburn.
West Virginia is preparing for its annual spring game on April 5. The Mountaineers are hoping Rodriguez can rediscover the success he had with the program nearly two decades ago, winning 57 games in his final six seasons at the school.
West Virginia opens its 2025 season with back-to-back games against FCS program Robert Morris and Ohio before Rodriguez is reintroduced to the ‘Backyard Brawl’ against Pittsburgh on Sept. 13.
