Angel Reese Posts Wordless Message After LSU’s Win in NCAA Tournament

Angel Reese let the LSU Tigers’ performance do the talking.

After the 2023 national champion Tigers stormed past Florida State with a dominant 101-71 win in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday, Reese reacted with a simple yet telling Instagram post: no words, just a reel of her former team celebrating along with a woman dancing emoji.

That spoke volumes as LSU took a commanding step toward another deep tournament run led by standout performances from Mikaylah Williams and Aneesah Morrow.

Williams exploded for 28 points while Morrow added 26 points and 11 rebounds, spearheading a second-half onslaught that buried Florida State.

The game was neck-and-neck at halftime, with the Tigers clinging to a 50-49 lead. But they delivered a devastating third-quarter surge, outscoring the Seminoles 31-6 to seize control.

Sa’Myah Smith turned in her best performance of the season, posting 20 points and 12 rebounds. LSU’s depth simply overwhelmed Florida State.

For Reese, who helped LSU capture its first national title two years ago, the victory reinforced the program’s championship pedigree. Though she’s now watching from afar, the former Tigers star remains deeply connected to the team’s success.

Her wordless celebration? A fitting tribute to a team that’s making plenty of noise on its own.

With LSU rolling into the Sweet 16, the Tigers look every bit like a contender again. And if their dominant second-half surge was any indication, Angel Reese may have more reasons to post before this tournament is over.
