Tennessee Vols fans have done the most brilliant thing in Indianapolis ahead of Sweet 16 game against the Kentucky Wildcats

The Tennessee Vols will face the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday night in the Sweet 16 in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Lucas Oil Stadium was once the home of legendary former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning.

Manning, a Hall of Famer to the led the Colts’ to their last Super Bowl win (nearly 20 years ago), is one of the few NFL players in history to have statue of himself outside of his former team’s stadium.

Throughout the week, Vols fans have brilliantly utilized the Peyton Manning statue outside of Lucas Oil Stadium as a shrine to the Tennessee basketball program.

Amazing. Vols fans are undoubtedly the best in college sports.

Maybe the spirit of Peyton will be able to bring the Tennessee basketball team some good luck on Friday night as they look to defeat Kentucky for the first time this season (the Vols are 0-2 in their first two matchups against the Wildcats this season). And who knows, maybe Peyton will make it out to Indy to watch his alma mater compete for a spot in the Elite Eight.
