2026 four-star college football recruit says he wants an offer from Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs

A 2026 four-star edge rusher from California is hoping to receive an offer from the Georgia Bulldogs in the near future.

2026 four-star edge rusher Shaun Scott, 6-foot-3/230 lbs from Santa Ana, CA, told 247Sports this week that Georgia is the program that he still wants to receive an offer from.

Scott already has notable offers from program such as Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC.

The talented edge rusher will get his chance to impress Kirby Smart and Georgia’s coaching staff in person when he takes an unofficial visit to Athens on May 29.

Scouting report via 247Sports: Scott is one of the best pure pass rushers in the region right now, regardless of class. He has a really nice all around game and is more than just a pass rush specialist, he can play in space, drop and is strong in the run game as well. He has a well built 6-3, 230 frame and looks like he’s not done growing yet. Shows natural pass rush ability who can win with speed, power and has a very good spin move he uses often. Finished with 19 tackles and eight sacks as a part time starter last season and could double those numbers as a junior. He can play a physical game and shows the athleticism to run down plays from outside his area. With his growth potential an ability to get to the QB, we can see him moving to edge full time and his upside is very high. Projects as a high Power 4 prospect with NFL upside to him.

Scott, who is rated by 247Sports as the No. 19 edge rusher in the nation, is expected to announce his commitment in late June.

For now, Miami is viewed as the team to beat for Scott. But if Georgia offers the California native, the Bulldogs will instantly become a major threat to win this recruiting battle.
