Big Ten basketball results and standings: Wisconsin making a push for the crown
The Big Ten continues to be a little bit chaotic. Any given week, a bottom team can upset a top team, and the top teams are all still jostling for the crown. This is the third week in a row where there is a new team at the top of the Big Ten leaderboard. It started with Michigan State, then came Purdue, and now it is Michigan. Wisconsin is also in the hunt, only two games back from Michigan, and has basically caught Purdue and Michigan State. Let’s look at the results and the standings in the Big Ten.

The Badgers have stayed in fourth place this week, but now they are alone there after sharing it with UCLA last week. Their upcoming schedule has some challenges in front of them, but they have a handful of home games that they need to take advantage of.
Wisconsin has two games this week against Illinois and Oregon, both at home. This is a good time for them to continue to catch the top of the leaderboard. Beating Purdue kept them in the hunt and angling for the top. Michigan will take on their in-state rivals in Michigan State and then a pesky Nebraska team. UW ideally would love to see them drop both, but even one would be great for the Big Ten standings.
