Michigan’s Jaden Mangham Makes Surprise Admission on MSU Spartans Program
Michigan football’s secondary became one of the best in college football by the end of the 2024 college football season, even without star cornerback Will Johnson, who’s expected to be a top 5-10 pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
The Wolverines relied on contributions from transfer players including Aamir Hill and Wesley Walker to defeat college football powerhouses Ohio State and Alabama to finish off the 2024 season, highlighting a position of strength for coach LaMar Morgan’s unit.
One player who didn’t have the opportunity to contribute much is Jaden Mangham, a Beverly Hills, Michigan native who starred for the Michigan State Spartans in 2022 and 2023 before transferring to Ann Arbor.
Mangham, who played in just one game in 2024 due to injury, shared a surprising revelation on the Michigan State Spartans program that has begun making the rounds on social media recently.

Mangham said he’s saved his NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) money recently in the video, which was posted months ago but has begun making the rounds on YouTube in recent days because of its surprising nature.
He was asked if he got any NIL money at Michigan State by Wolverines insider Sam Webb. Mangham replied that he didn’t get any NIL money from the Spartans until last spring prior to his transfer to the Wolverines in May 2024.
“No wonder State’s recruiting is so poor,” one fan said.
“I think some percentage of a player’s NIL should (go) to a team fund…School should contribute a portion,” another reader added.
