5-star wide receiver will visit Michigan football this spring

It’s no secret that Michigan football is still in dire need of elite talent at the wide receiver position. It seems like wide receiver is the one spot on the team that isn’t stacked with elite players. The Wolverines are working hard to address that, however, and should have much more success with their improved NIL.

In fact, it already appears that Michigan football is making splashes, as Tristen Keys, the No. 2 wide receiver in the nation, has scheduled an unofficial visit to Michigan, set to happen on April 5th. This is notable, because the Wolverines didn’t make his top 12 schools, yet are still receiving a visit. The three other schools he’s set to visit in the Spring did make his top 12.

Are the Wolverines making a move with 5-star wide receiver?

That seems to imply that Michigan has made a big move behind the scenes, likely in the NIL realm, and the visit will be a chance for the Wolverines to solidify themselves as true contenders. It’s obviously going to be tough for the Wolverines to go into SEC territory in Mississippi and steal one of the nation’s best, but it’s definitely possible in today’s world of college football recruiting.

The Wolverines have a lot of ground to make up here, but they’re going to be extremely aggressive. Michigan football knows that wide receiver is the one position that could hold them back from maximizing on Bryce Underwood’s talent and their national championship aspirations. I wouldn’t be surprised if Michigan fooball took an aggressive approach and signaled that they won’t be outbid with Keys.

This is definitely one to keep an eye on, and we’ll definitely know a lot more about where Michigan stands after April 5th.
