LSU gets massive news in the recruitment of Elite Top 50 Cornerback Chauncey Kennon

The LSU Tigers have been receiving good news throughout the recruiting dead period as Top Recruits have named LSU one of their final schools or set up visits to LSU when recruiting visits resume while LSU landed Brysten Martinez rocketing LSU into the 3rd ranked class in the Country.

When the Recruiting Dead Period comes to a close, the LSU Football team will be looking to hit the ground running adding pieces to a talented core of recruits. While LSU will look to get him on campus this Spring, in the Summer LSU will get one of the top defensive backs in the Country on campus as Chauncey Kennon will visit LSU on June 20th.

The fact that LSU will get the final official visit from Chauncey Kennon is massive as the Tigers will get the final official visit in a loaded group of schools. The LSU Football team will get the chance to make a great final impression with Kennon which also lets the Tigers know what they’re up against.

According to On3, Chauncey Kennon is the 44th ranked player in the class, the 5th ranked cornerback, and the 5th ranked player out of Florida. ESPN, On3, and 247 Sports all agree that Kennon is a Top 5 Cornerback in the class ranking as high as 1st while Rivals ranks him the 19th best corner in the class.

The Florida schools have the Home State advantage and Miami will have a ton of momentum after hiring Will Harris away from Florida. The Tigers just offered Kennon at the end of January but, the Tigers will get an official visit while Michigan and Florida who were in his top 5 this Summer won’t get a visit.

Corey Raymond was brought back to LSU to bring back the DBU Standard he helped build up and thus far the progress has been significant. Fresh off of landing the Nation’s top cornerback, Raymond will look to dip back into Florida once again to land an elite cornerback like he has several times before.
