Arch Manning Turns Heads After Announcing Major NIL Deal in Commercial with Family
While the 2025 college football season doesn’t kick off until August, the excitement is already building for the Texas Longhorns as they prepare to debut Arch Manning as their next starting quarterback.
Manning had brief stints last season backing up Quinn Ewers, even earning a start when Ewers went down with an injury. But now, with the starting job handed to Manning—something Longhorns fans had been hoping for all season, despite Ewers leading them to the College Football Playoff semifinals—the spotlight is fully on him.
The nephew of legendary quarterbacks Eli and Peyton Manning, Arch has become one of the most highly regarded college athletes ever. With NIL opportunities growing rapidly, the former five-star recruit added another major deal to his growing portfolio on Tuesday.
Manning announced a partnership with Uber in a commercial alongside his grandfather, Archie Manning, and father, Cooper Manning, promoting Uber’s self-driving taxi service, “Waymo.”
Manning now boasts an NIL valuation of $6.5 million, according to On3, making him the highest-earning college football player in terms of NIL deals. With players like Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter heading to the NFL.

Arch Manning is a unique athlete who brings a different style to the quarterback position compared to his uncles Peyton and Eli. While both of them were known for their incredible arms and pocket presence, Arch adds an element of mobility, showing a dynamic ability to move in the pocket and run downhill.
This style of play resembles his grandfather, Archie Manning, who showcased similar skills during his time with the New Orleans Saints. Arch’s father, Cooper, was also a talented football player at Ole Miss, playing wide receiver before a rare spinal condition forced him to retire early.
Now, Arch has the opportunity to lead the Texas Longhorns back to prominence. Coincidentally, the team that ended their season last year, the Ohio State Buckeyes, will be the same team they open the 2025 season against in Week 1.
