Sherrone Moore opens up on how humble 5-star QB Bryce Underwood is for Michigan

We are about two weeks away from Michigan football starting spring practices and countless eyes are no question going to be on 5-star quarterback Bryce Underwood. The No. 1 prospect for his class, Underwood was originally going to be Baton Rouge-bound.
That’s right, he was a longtime verbal to LSU and Brian Kelly, but Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines were able to pull off one of the biggest flips in recent recruiting history. It’s a move people in Ann Arbor are still pretty fired up about.
The excitement surrounding Underwood is only growing with spring ball getting started on March 18. Before the freshman phenom takes the field for the first time with his new team, Moore is reflecting on not only the kind of player he can be, but also the kind of human he was able to sign:

Sherrone Moore is excited for Bryce Underwood’s future with Michigan football
“To talk to him, to be around him, to grow with him – the kid is an amazing human being,” Moore told Front Office Sports’ Adam Breneman. “He’s extremely selfless, he’s extremely humble and all he wants to do is work. You see this No. 1 player in the country and you have a vision of what it could be and he’s the exact opposite of the Prima Donna, ‘I have all the answers guy.’ He’s the first guy in the building and he’s the last one out. You have to tell him to get out of the building.”
You’ve got to love seeing that clip of Moore describing Underwood. This is a youngster who has all the talent in the world and he has arrived on campus as one of the biggest names the program has ever brought in.
Despite that, he doesn’t have a big head and he’s beyond humble. Moore saying that the coaches have to tell him to leave the football facility to get him to take a break from working is next-level awesome. Underwood knows there’s a wild amount of pressure on him, but he wants to make fans happy. His work ethic can’t be matched.
He enrolled in school early so he can learn the system and get some reps under his belt before fall camp gets here in August. Underwood is ready to push for the starting job, while knowing nothing will be handed to him. His recruiting ranking will mean nothing when it’s time to compete for the QB1 job. With that said, he’s doing all the right things now that he’s officially with the team and Moore will be ready to bring out the best of him.
