Watch Bruce Pearl’s grandkids surprise him with SEC Coach of the Year news

Well, this is just incredible. Earlier this week, Auburn basketball head man Bruce Pearl was named the SEC Coach of the Year and it was 100 percent deserved. What Pearl has been able to get done with the Tigers has been nothing short of incredible.
With Pearl leading the program, Auburn is pushing for a National Championship. Yes, the loss to Alabama was a bit of a bummer, but it doesn’t take away from how tremendous Auburn has looked this campaign.
Pearl was understandably all smiles when receiving the all-conference nod. You know what made things even better for him? As it turns out, he first heard of the news from his family, with his grandkids stealing the show. This clip is beyond adorable:

Bruce Pearl was fully deserving of taking home SEC Coach of the Year honors
Pearl’s son Steven, associate head coach on staff, was there to set everything up and it’s quite wholesome. The look on Pearl’s face says it all, as he was pretty blown away. It was an incredible moment for everyone involved, no doubt.
Now, though, Pearl is focused on leading this team on a deep run in the SEC Tournament. The Tigers are off until the quarterfinals on Friday. Should they win that game, a potential date with Tennessee would be on the way in the semifinals, which is a game a lot of people are hoping to see.
If Auburn advances to the final on Sunday, we could end up seeing a rematch against Alabama in Nashville. We don’t have to tell you that’d be intriguing, as the Crimson Tide were able to land a haymaker on the Tigers last Saturday.
The Mark Sears game-winner in overtime is still being talked about, but you better believe the Tigers are going to have revenge on their minds for the next time these two programs meet. Pearl himself will be focused on making sure people are reminded who the top team in the state is, and he’ll be doing so as the SEC Coach of the Year.
