Arkansas basketball notebook: Missed opportunities bit Razorbacks against Ole Miss
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Missed opportunities highlighted the afternoon as the Arkansas men’s basketball team watched Ole Miss celebrate its 83-80 win Thursday at Bridgestone Arena, sending the Razorbacks home for a three-day wait to hear their NCAA Tournament designation..
Arkansas had opportunities to beat the Rebels despite mounting foul trouble and a rotation already limited due to injuries.
The Razorbacks had shot 21 of 32 from the free throw line and had 15 turnovers that led to 14 Ole Miss points.
“That hurt us,” coach John Calipari said. “The couple when we were up…that hurt us. We’re a team that usually turns it over 11 or 12 times. Those three turnovers ended up being baskets down the other end.
