SEC availability report released for Arkansas-Ole Miss series
FAYETTEVILLE — Pitcher Gage Wood will miss his third consecutive weekend with a shoulder injury when the third-ranked Arkansas baseball team opens SEC play at No. 15 Ole Miss.
Wood is listed as out on the SEC availability report and corner outfielder Logan Maxwell (hamstring) is listed as probable for the series that is scheduled to begin Friday at 2 p.m. The teams are also scheduled to play Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
Pitching against Michigan on Feb. 23 in Arlington, Texas, Wood suffered an injury to his throwing shoulder that Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn described as an impingement. Van Horn said Feb. 25 that Wood would miss 3-6 weeks of game time, but has shared encouraging updates each time he has been asked about the junior right-hander.
