Green Brigade issues STATEMENT to Celtic and Dermot Desmond in new viral interview as they reveal SHOCKING admission to the entire club’s fanbase

Posted on March 27, 2026

The atmosphere at Celtic Park has long been one of the club’s defining strengths. On the biggest occasions, it becomes a driving force, lifting the players and intimidating opponents. However, a key part of that identity is currently absent—and there is increasing concern it may not return anytime soon.

The Green Brigade, widely regarded as one of the most passionate supporter groups in Scottish football, remain banned from attending matches. Several months after the initial decision, there is still no clear resolution, and optimism surrounding a return appears to be fading.

Uncertainty Surrounding Green Brigade Return

The group has been excluded from Celtic Park since November, following an incident during a Premiership fixture against Falkirk in the preceding month.

Earlier in March, interim chairman Brian Wilson expressed hope that a solution could be found, raising expectations among sections of the support that progress was being made.

However, sentiment within the Green Brigade tells a different story.

In a recent interview, member Martin suggested that confidence in a positive outcome is diminishing rather than improving.

He indicated that while the group believes its requests are reasonable, feedback from the club has been discouraging. According to Martin, there is a growing suspicion that deeper issues may be influencing the situation, with concerns that the ban could remain in place regardless of ongoing discussions.

He also acknowledged that recent developments have shifted his own outlook. While he had previously encouraged dialogue and believed a resolution was achievable, he now admits that such optimism may have been misplaced, as others within the group had long anticipated a more negative outcome.

Hopes of Resolution Beginning to Fade

There was once a belief that common ground could be reached before the end of the season. That optimism is now beginning to wane.

Martin revealed that with each passing discussion failing to produce meaningful progress, his confidence in a swift return has steadily declined. While he has not completely ruled out a breakthrough, he conceded that a prolonged absence now appears increasingly likely.

Wider Impact on Celtic Park Atmosphere

For many supporters, the issue extends beyond a single fan group. It touches on the overall atmosphere at Celtic Park and the connection between the team and its supporters.

With tensions still unresolved and little indication of an imminent breakthrough, the situation risks having a lasting effect. At present, it appears both sides are waiting for the other to make the decisive move—but as time passes, the absence of progress is becoming more noticeable.
