Indiana misses the NCAA tournament for a second straight season
Indiana will not play in the NCAA tournament for a second consecutive season.
The Hoosiers were not among the 68 teams revealed on the NCAA tournament selection show on CBS after finishing the regular season and the Big Ten tournament with a 19-13 record.
Indiana was the second team out of the field.
The last four in: Texas, Xavier, San Diego State and North Carolina. The first four out: West Virgina, Indiana, Ohio State and Boise State.
In the preseason, Indiana was picked to finish second in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers are not expected to participate in a secondary postseason tournament, which means the 2024-25 season is over, as is the Mike Woodson era in Bloomington.
The coaching search for the program’s 31st head coach should intensify in the coming days as prospective candidates lose in the NCAA tournament.
Eight Big Ten teams made the 2025 NCAA tournament: Michigan State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Maryland, Purdue, UCLA and Oregon.
The transfer portal opens on Monday, March 24.
