BREAKING: Alabama’s Jalen Milroe Makes Decision on Playing in Senior Bowl

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe made big news this week by declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. Though he’s been in college for four years, he did have another year of eligibility had he decided to stay.

Instead, he’s heading to the NFL and will be among the most interesting prospects in the entire draft. Milroe showed some amazing flashes at Alabama but struggled with consistency during the 2024 season having thrown 16 touchdowns to 11 interceptions.

His poor showing against Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl on New Year’s Eve certainly won’t help his value as he only completed 50% of his passes in the loss, but there’s one way he can help recoup some of that value.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, is the first offseason activity that gives NFL general managers and scouts a close look at prospects. Many top prospects have skipped in the past, but that won’t be Milroe.

The official Reese’s Senior Bowl account on X announced that Milroe will be participating.

He will be one of the biggest names on the roster, and quarterback-needy teams will certainly be keeping a close eye on him. Milroe has all the physical tools to be an NFL quarterback, but he has to show that he has the necessary intangibles as well.

The Senior Bowl will be a good way to showcase that. The game is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 1 and will be broadcast on NFL Network.
