Arkansas, John Calipari Dealt Unfortunate Transfer Portal News On Monday

Arkansas center Zvonimir Ivisic is entering the transfer portal, according to On3 Sports’ Joe Tipton, marking the first major roster move of the offseason for the Razorbacks following an impressive postseason run.

Ivisic — nicknamed “Big Z” — is a 7-foot-2 sophomore who averaged 8.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and just over one block per game during the 2024–25 season.

A former Kentucky transfer, Ivisic brought size, skill, and shooting touch to Arkansas’ frontcourt and played a key role in the team’s late-season surge.

While the regular season had its ups and downs, the Razorbacks found their rhythm at the right time.

Under first-year head coach John Calipari, Arkansas made a run to the Sweet 16, re-establishing itself as a national contender in March and quieting early questions about the program’s transition, finishing the season at 22-14 overall.

Ivisic, originally from Croatia, quickly became a fan favorite thanks to his unique combination of length and finesse.

His ability to stretch the floor and protect the rim gave Calipari valuable versatility, and his departure now opens a significant hole in the frontcourt heading into Year 2 of the Calipari era.

With his size, international experience, and Power 6 production, Ivisic is expected to be one of the more sought-after bigs in the transfer portal.

As Arkansas looks to retool for another deep tournament run, this marks the first big roster storyline of what could be an active offseason in Fayetteville.
