Arkansas gymnastics’ Joscelyn Roberson earns regular-season All-America honors
Arkansas freshman gymnast Joscelyn Roberson was named a second-team All-American on blance beam by the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association on Monday.
She is the first Razorback freshman to be named a regular-season All-American and the first Arkansas gymnast to do so on beam since Kennedy Hambrick in 2021.
Regular-season All-Americans are determined by National Qualifying Score in each event. The top 15 gymnasts by NQS receive the distinction.
Roberson’s 9.915 NQS on beam is tied for 15th nationally, ninth in the SEC and second among all freshmen.
She has anchored the Razorbacks’ beam rotation all season and has scored 9.900 or higher in eight of 11 meets.
The Razorbacks open NCAA regional competition at 6 p.m. Central on Thursday in University Park, Penn. They will compete against No. 1 LSU, No. 17 Michigan and either Maryland or West Virginia.
The top two teams in quad competition will advance to the regional final Saturday.
