Arch Manning stole the show at the Texas Pro Day amidst long list of 2025 NFL Draft prospects, and one NFL team was paying close attention
The University of Texas held its annual Pro Day on Tuesday, and a large contingency of NFL teams were present to take a closer look at the top Longhorn 2025 NFL Draft prospects who participated. With players like Jahdae Barron, Kelvin Banks Jr., Matthew Golden, Isaiah Bond, Cameron Williams, and Quinn Ewers on site, there was a lot of talent to observe. Some teams couldn’t help but to also take a deeper look at some of the future talent as well.
The Los Angeles Rams were one of the many teams who showed up to the event in Austin, Texas. That includes general manager Les Snead, who is one of the best in the business. He was caught chatting with Texas quarterback Arch Manning, who is set to take over for Ewers as the full-time starter this fall.

Even though Manning started just two games last season, and attempted a mere 90 passing attempts, the expectations are at an extreme level. The biggest reason for that is his last name, but Manning’s talent level also verifies the hype. At 6-4 and 220 pounds, the redshirt sophomore brings a talented arm and tremendous athleticism to the table.
It might be a massive projection, but many consider Manning the early favorite to be the top quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft class. His talent, combined with head coach Steve Sarkisian calling plays, has a chance to be special heading into the 2025 college football season. Would Manning head to the NFL after just one season as a starter? That’s the major question.
While it’s hyperbolic to say Snead is doing some early scouting for 2026 at quarterback, especially with the Rams looking like a legitimate Super Bowl contender heading into next season, he has proven that being aggressive isn’t uncommon for him. Matthew Stafford will be 38 years old this time next year, and his days are clearly coming to a close in the somewhat near future.
Manning has the talent to continue stabilizing success for the Rams under head coach Sean McVay, assuming he lives up to the hype. If this marriage does happen in the future, many will look back at this moment between Snead and Manning. It could be a foreshadowing of things to come, or absolutely nothing.
We can still allow Rams fans out there to dream of a transition from a Stafford to a Manning. That fanbase suffered for a very long time, and deserve to enjoy the successes this regime has brought them recently. The future, as long as McVay and Snead continue to lead it, is still very bright.
