Is LeBron James playing tonight? What latest injury report says about Lakers star’s status vs. 76ers

The Lakers are in the mix of the playoff race in the Western Conference. However, that comes with a little adversity, as both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are battling injuries.

James specifically has been on the injury report with “left foot injury management” since December despite earning yet another All-Star starting nod. As Los Angeles embarks on an East Coast road trip, James will continue to monitor his left foot to make sure he doesn’t aggravate the injury.

Here’s the latest on James’ status when the Lakers play the 76ers on Tuesday.

Is LeBron James playing tonight?

The Lakers haven’t submitted an injury report yet for Tuesday’s game, so James’ status is unknown.

The veteran forward has been battling a left foot injury for the majority of the season, but he and the team are managing the issue to make sure he can play in games.

James missed two games with the injury in early December, but he’s played in all but one game since despite continuing to remain on the injury report with “left foot management.” When the Lakers play on Tuesday, it will be their second of a road back-to-back after playing the Hornets in Charlotte on Monday.

This will be the Lakers’ second game against the 76ers this season. Los Angeles beat Philadelphia at home earlier in the year and James had a strong game, recording his second triple-double of the season with 21 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds.

The Lakers enter Tuesday’s game with a 26-18 record and in fifth place in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles began a six-game road trip on Saturday night with a win over the Warriors, but the trip includes four games against teams along the East Coast.
