Lane Kiffin lands incredible Transfer Portal playmaker for Austin Simmons and Ole Miss Rebels’ revamped offense

Lane Kiffin remains the Transfer Portal King. He’s already locked up his fourth straight Top 3 college football transfer class this cycle, but with his latest acquisition he may take the Ole Miss Rebels to the number one spot this offseason.

After losing Jaxson Dart, wide receivers Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, Juice Wells, and tight end Caden Prieskorn to the 2025 NFL Draft the Ole Miss Rebels needed to completely revamp their offense around new starting quarterback Austin Simmons. Lane Kiffin and his excellent staff have done exactly that.

Kiffin has already brought in four transfer wide receivers and two tight ends, but now Ole Miss has one of their best offseason additions yet. Following Penn State’s loss in the semifinals of the College Football Playoff, wide receiver Harrison Wallace announced his intention to enter the Transfer Portal.

Multiple reports confirmed he was intending to visit Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Texas A&M alongside a couple other programs, but Lane Kiffin apparently won him over before he even needed to visit all of the other schools. Harrison Wallace committed to Ole Miss on Sunday and will quite likely feature as one the starting Rebels receivers immediately.

Harrison Wallace puts the finishing touches on a masterpiece of transfer portal playmaker acquisitions by Ole Miss as the Rebels head into spring practices in just a few short weeks.

Cayden Lee returns as the favorite to start at slot wide receiver. Oklahoma State transfer wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling should be set to own one of the outside wide receiver spots. Arkansas transfer tight end Luke Hasz should offer dynamism that Ole Miss was missing from the position last season. Harrison Wallace now likely takes the final starting outside wide receiver spot opposite Stribling.

The other transfer wide receivers Lane Kiffin brought in are all second and third year players who should be able to grow into more significant roles in years to come.

Harrison Wallace broke out as the lead wide receiver for Penn State in 2024, tallying almost 50 receptions, over 700 yards, and four receiving touchdowns. He offered versatility as a receiver from every pre-snap alignment imaginable while also providing value as a willing blocker. Wallace should thrive immediately in Lane Kiffin’s scheme as an every-down player.
