No. 10 Arkansas softball blasts No. 25 Ole Miss to avoid sweep
Arkansas softball avoided getting swept while returning to its typical high-scoring form Sunday in Oxford, Miss.
The No. 16 Razorbacks dominated No. 25 Ole Miss and salvaged a game in the series with a 20-3 victory in 5 innings.
Arkansas (20-3, 1-2 SEC) set a program record for runs scored in a conference game and secured their 16th run-rule win this year. It tied the 2014 team for most run rules in a season.
After lopsided losses in Games 1 and 2 — 9-1 (6 innings) and 9-3 — the Razorbacks looked like a different team Sunday. They quadrupled the number of runs scored in the losses and their 14 hits were more than the 13 combined on Friday and Saturday.
